Crankshaft balancing is important to avoid engine vibrations. In extreme situations, these can tear apart your engine block but on a much smaller scale, vibrations can also be pretty harmful to the longevity of the bearings and reliability of the engine as a whole. So even if a well balanced crankshaft does not bring you extra power, it is very important in order to keep your power reliable.
We offer crankshaft balancing in our workshop. In general, this service is not done while you wait but exceptions can be made if the stars line up properly. Don’t forget to bring the flywheel and clutch too!
PRICING:
- ≤ 4 cylinders: €180, +VAT
- 5-6 cylinders: €210, +VAT
- ≥ 8 cylinders: €240, +VAT
IMPORTANT:
We will only balance the rotating mass (crankshaft + flywheel + clutch), NOT the reciprocating mass including rods & pistons.
