Our 400hp – 2WD chassis dyno has a single drum setup, on which we applied a custom coating to achieve excellent traction resulting in an even better repeatability. When your car has a “manual” clutch (our apologies for that little joke), you can measure the drivetrain losses to calculate backward to know the engine performance at the flywheel. Actually, this enables you to analyse not only your engine, but the drivetrain as well. As an engine builder, we are most interested in the engine performance. But since you will be driving the car, it’s the power available at the wheels you’re after!
We rent our dyno without operator. We will obviously assist to setup the car on the dyno and stay around, but you will hit the throttle yourself to avoid discussions in case of an engine failure. You wipe the floor in worst case scenario, all tools required are available!
